Description
This building, known as Nos. 31, 33, and 35, is a house dating from 1662, as indicated by a datestone and the inscription "GCI". It features rendered rubble walls and bitumen-grouted slate roofs, with an irregular U-shaped plan that includes two service wings at right angles to the rear. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range front with a central through-passage. To the right of the doorway is a 20th-century window, while slightly to the right of the passage is a four-pane hornless sash window on the first floor. There is also a 20th-century window above a side doorway at the far left, which is spanned by a timber lintel. At the far right, there is a two-storey former porch, likely gable-ended, featuring wide 20th-century windows on each floor and a 20th-century door to the left-hand return. Inside, the open-fronted room on the left contains a large 17th-century fireplace with a chamfered oak lintel.
