Description
No. 24 Church Street is a small town house dating from the mid-19th century. It features a rendered exterior on masonry and has an asbestos slate roof with a shared rendered stack over the right-hand cross wall. The building is equipped with a cast-iron ogee gutter adorned with lions' head masks. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range. The windows are mid to late 19th century four-pane horned sashes. A tall plinth supports the structure, and the original doorcase includes pilasters and a moulded entablature, leading to four-panel top-glazed doors, with the inner door featuring margin panes. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
