Description
No. 23 Church Street is a town house with a shop, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The exterior features render that replaces stucco on studwork and an asbestos slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high with a two-window front. The windows are 20th-century hornless sashes with glazing bars. The shop front is a reproduction of a mid 19th-century design, consisting of six lights with two panes per light and a central doorway that includes a 20th-century door and overlight. There are plain pilasters on either side of the shop front. The house doorway, located on the left, has a mid 20th-century glazed door and overlight, along with a full-width shallow fascia. The interior has not been inspected.
