Description

No. 24 Fore Street is a town house dating from the 18th century, with its front remodeled in the late 18th century. The building features a rendered facade on what is likely rubble stone, with rubble walls at the rear. It has a low-pitched slate roof behind a parapet, which includes an entablature and a lower band. There is a brick end stack on the left with old clay pots, and a hipped roof over the rear wing. The house has a deep plan that includes a rear wing, with one room at the front and an entrance hall to its right. It stands two storeys tall and has a one-window range, featuring late 19th century six-pane horned sash windows. The doorway is located on the right and is topped by a simple slate-roofed hood, leading to an early 20th century glazed and panelled door. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
