Description
No. 24 Northgate Street is an 18th-century town house located in Launceston. The building has a ground floor that features render replacing stucco on rubble, while the upper floor is finished with slate hanging on studwork. It has a steep half-hipped rag slate roof with a rendered lateral stack positioned at the front right. The house has a shallow-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. The first floor has late 19th-century paired four-pane horned sash windows, and there is a similar sash window on the left side of the ground floor. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, with a 20th-century shop window on the right. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to retain some features of interest.
