Description
No. 11 is a town house built in 1884, featuring a red brick front and a dry slate roof with a central gabled roof dormer and a modillion eaves cornice. There is a brick stack on the right side. The building has a double-depth plan and is designed in the Queen Anne style, standing two storeys plus an attic over a basement. The front is symmetrical with three windows. Keyed segmental arches are present over the original horned sash windows, which have glazing bars; there is a two-light casement window to the left of the basement. The central doorway is pedimented and flanked by consoles, leading to a six-panel door with glazed upper panels. Inside, the building retains its staircase, joinery, and original features. The property also includes attached forecourt walls with granite copings and turned cast-iron stanchions connected by two chains, as well as a flanking bridge to the doorway. This building is included for its group value.
