Description

Hillhead Farmhouse is a house with probable origins in the 18th century, featuring alterations from the 19th century and a rear addition from the 20th century. The building is colourwashed and rendered, with the front hung with small slates. It has a bitumen-painted rag slate main roof and a lean-to roof, with chimneys located at the gable ends. The original plan is single depth, and the house has a three-window front. The entrance features a four-panel front door situated under a slated canopy. There are three first-floor and two ground-floor windows, which are two-light casements with eight panes per light; the middle window on the first floor is likely a 20th-century insertion. The interior has not been inspected.
