Description
Tree Hill Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It has a whitewashed and rendered exterior with a bitumen-painted slate roof that is gabled at the left end and hipped at the right end. There is a rendered chimney located at the right end of the building. The cottage has three storeys and a narrow one-window front. A 20th-century plank door is situated on the front to the right. The ground floor features a 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash window with shutters. The first floor has a bay window under a hipped slate roof, which includes a 20th-century 12-pane horned timber sash window and 4-pane sashes on the returns. The second floor has a 12-pane hornless sash window. The interior has not been inspected. Tree Hill Cottage is part of a group of buildings on the east side of Old Post Office Hill and is included for its group value.
