SS 23 O6 BUDE-STRATTON CHURCH SQUARE (north side) STRATTON 13/189 Gibraltar House -

GV II

House. Late C18, C19 alterations. Colourwashed and rendered with slate roof gabled at left end. Brick chimney at left gable end, rendered chimney at right end. 2 storeys. 3 window symmetrical front with central 4-panel front door under flat moulded canopy and C19/20 porch with lattice sides. Ground floor windows 16 pane horned sashes, 3 similar first floor windows all with exposed sash boxes. Late C19 inserted high dormers, small 4 pane casement to left, pair of 4 pane casements to right. 2 plaques on front read "RS GIBR 1785" and "12th REGT FOOT. Pitched stone yard in front may predate the house. Interior not inspected; said to have slate floors.
