Description
East View is a house that likely dates back to the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid to late 19th century and late 20th century. The exterior is faced in roughcast, topped with a machine-tile roof, and features rubble end chimneys with brick stacks, one of which was rebuilt in the 20th century. The house has two storeys and three bays. On the ground floor, there are two cross-casements, while the first floor has three 2-light casements. The central entrance is highlighted by a 19th-century gabled timber porch set on a tall painted brick base, complete with a moulded architrave and a six-panelled door that has two glazed panels and four raised and fielded panels. At the rear, there is a lean-to outshut with a catslide roof. Additionally, there is a 19th-century timber-framed outbuilding that is weatherboarded, located at the north end of the property.
