Description
Stratton Community Hall is a hall built around the 1830s. It is constructed of stone rubble and has a slate roof that is gabled at both ends. The building has a rectangular plan and is a single storey. The entrance front is symmetrical and located on the north gable end. It features wide timber double doors set under a stone arch with a semi-circular or round head that includes a keystone. The doors are later additions and have elaborate false strap hinges, along with a later blind fanlight that displays gothic details. The arch is flanked by pilasters, with additional pilasters at the front corners that rise to a moulded string below the gable. There is a nowy-headed niche in the gable, which also has later bargeboarding with pendants. Inside, the hall has a contemporary 9-bay roof supported by scissor trusses and pendants.
