Description

This is an 18th-century townhouse in Penryn, now subdivided into smaller units. The building is constructed from roughly coursed killas and granite rubble, with timber lintels, and has a steeply pitched dry slate roof topped by a brick end stack on the left side. It follows a U-shaped plan, including rear wings set at right angles to the main structure. The front facade is almost symmetrical, with five windows across two storeys. Late 19th or early 20th-century horned sash windows are present throughout, with a wider sash window containing sidelights on the ground floor to the right. The central doorway lacks a door, and a former inserted doorway has been partly blocked to the right of the original doorway. The interior has not been inspected. This building holds group value by virtue of its contribution to the streetscape.
