Description
This is an early 18th-century town house, later divided into a pair of smaller town houses, located in Penryn. The building is constructed of granite rubble with original scratch-moulded wooden lintels. The rear has a cob wing, and the roof is steeply pitched with bracketed eaves. The front range is single-depth, with a slightly later, deeper rear wing. The building has two storeys and a six-window front. The first floor has modern, sixteen-pane, two-light casement windows. The ground floor has modern, sixteen-pane, horned sash windows. A pair of pilastered doorways, each with an architrave and consoles, are centrally located; one contains an old planked door, and the other a modern door. The interior has not been inspected. No. 39A was added to the list in 1977.
