Description

This is a late 18th-century town house located in Penryn. The front of the building is brick with a granite ashlar plinth, granite keyblocks above the flat brick arches, and rusticated granite quoins. It has a steeply pitched roof covered in asbestos slate and rendered end stacks. A weatherboarded wing extends to the rear, and the building follows a U-shaped plan, incorporating 3-storey rear extensions. The symmetrical front facade has three windows per floor. The windows are 20th-century replacements, using a 16-pane hornless sash design. A central doorway is topped by an open pediment supported by pilasters, with panelled reveals and a 6-panel door. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to contain features of interest.
