Description

Two attached town houses, located in Penryn, were originally built in the 17th century and remodelled in the 18th century, one of which was once an inn. The houses are constructed of painted rubble with steep asbestos slate roofs, half-hipped on the right-hand side. A brick stack rises over cross walls and on the left. No. 2 Bohill is a single-depth building with a basement and two storeys, featuring a two-window front. It has late 19th-century four-pane horned sash windows and a stuccoed doorway with an eared head and a 20th-century door on the right, along with a single-window return front into Broad Street. No. 4 Bohill is two storeys high and has a one-window front, featuring timber lintels over 20th-century windows and a 20th-century door on the right. An inspection in 1980 revealed a remodelled 17th-century interior with chamfered granite fireplaces and some reused 17th-century moulded timber.
