Description

A terrace of five small town houses built in the mid-19th century and located on Helston Road, Penryn. The houses are constructed with stucco or rendered walls over a rubble base, and have roofs of scantle slate to numbers 67 and 69 (the left-hand side), and dry slate elsewhere. The roofs have modillioned eaves and brick axial and end stacks, with cast-iron ogee gutters.

The houses have a double-depth plan with pairs of houses flanking a single house. The terrace has an overall 6-window frontage, with original 12-pane hornless sash windows throughout. The fronts of numbers 67 and 69, and 73 and 75, are symmetrical, featuring pilastered doorways with moulded entablatures. Numbers 73 and 75 have a blind central window on the first floor. The original doors are four-panel designs with overlights, although number 71 has a replacement 20th-century door in a plain surround. The interiors have not been inspected.
