Description

A pair of small town houses dating from the mid-19th century, located on West Street in Penryn. The houses are constructed of dressed granite and granite rubble, with a scantle slate roof and brick stacks. They are arranged with a double-depth plan, featuring one room at the front of each house. The symmetrical front facade has three windows, with a previously painted blind window in the center. Number 65 on the right retains its original 12-pane hornless sash windows; Number 63 has sash windows that may be original, but without glazing bars. The houses feature a pair of pilastered doorways topped with a moulded entablature, each with an overlight. A 20th-century door is present at Number 63, while Number 65 has an original four-panel door with later glazed panels added above. The interior of the properties has not been inspected.
