Description

No 28 on Westgate is a former house, originally numbered 40, that has been refronted in the mid-19th century. The building is taller than the neighboring houses, although it has only two storeys and an attic, featuring one window and one dormer with a hipped tiled roof. It is constructed of red brick, with the west side rendered. There is one sash window in reveals on both the first and ground floors, with intact glazing bars and rubbed brick voussoirs. The round-headed doorway has a door with four moulded panels and a semi-circular fanlight above. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 16 to 48 (even).
