Description

The lamp-post located in front of number 10 on Castle Street is from the later 19th century. It features a tapering octagonal shaft made of painted cast iron, which includes bands of necking. The lamp-post stands on a moulded octagonal plinth and has a quadrangular lamp with cresting. This lamp-post is part of a group that includes the listed buildings from numbers 1 to 9 Lowndes Buildings on the west side of Castle Street.
