Description

The lamp-post located before number 4 on Castle Street is a Grade II listed structure from the later 19th century. It features a tapering octagonal shaft made of painted cast iron, with decorative bands of necking and a moulded octagonal plinth. The lamp itself is quadrangular and includes cresting. This lamp-post is part of a group with the listed buildings at numbers 1 to 9 (consecutive) Lowndes Buildings on the west side of Castle Street.
