Description

The lamp post located before number 28 Castle Street is a listed structure from the later 19th century. It features a tapering octagonal shaft made of painted cast iron, resting on an octagonal plinth. The design includes bands of necking and a quadrangular lamp with cresting. This lamp post is part of a group of listed buildings that includes numbers 1 to 9 Lowndes Buildings on the west side of Castle Street.
