Description

Nos 27 and 28 Castle Street form one building dating to the 19th century, containing three storeys and three windows. The exterior is of painted brick, with the ground floor finished in cement. Stringcourses run horizontally and there is an eaves bracket cornice. Windows are set within moulded architrave surrounds. A large, rectangular bay window projects from the left-hand side of the ground floor, featuring a three-light sash window with a moulded architrave surround and keystone. The building is part of a group value context with Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Lowndes Buildings, also in Castle Street.
