Description

The lamp-post located to the north of No 20 Castle Street is a later 19th-century structure. It is made of painted cast iron and features a tapering octagonal shaft with bands of necking. The lamp-post stands on a moulded octagonal plinth and has a quadrangular lamp with cresting. This lamp-post is part of a group of listed buildings that includes Nos 1 to 9 (consecutive) Lowndes Buildings on the west side of Castle Street.
