Description

The lamp post located to the south of number 34 on Castle Street is a listed structure from the later 19th century. It features a tapering octagonal shaft made of painted cast iron, which is adorned with bands of necking. The lamp post stands on a moulded octagonal plinth and is topped with a quadrangular lamp that includes cresting. This lamp post is part of a group of listed buildings that includes numbers 1 to 9 (consecutive) Lowndes Buildings on the west side of Castle Street.
