Description

25 and 26 Castle Street are a pair of 18th-century buildings. They are two storeys high and constructed of painted brick, with an old tile roof. Each house has one horizontal sliding sash window on the first floor and a single sash window on the ground floor; the ground floor window of No. 26 lacks glazing bars. The entrances have four-panel, flush doors, centrally located within a delicate surround of Doric pilasters and an entablature. The buildings form a group with Nos 1 to 9 Lowndes Buildings, also in Castle Street (West Side).
