  1. Late C18, altered on ground floor. 3 storey. Brick with moulded eaves cornice on pairs of cut brackets. Old tile roof. 3 windows, the outer 4 panes wide, on upper floors. 6-panel central door on ground floor, with arched fanlight of radiating and circular pattern, in flush panelled reveal with reeded band to arch and doorcase of delicate fluted engaged Doric columns, broken entablature, with roundels on frieze, and open pediment. The 2 shops are of elaborate design but delicate detail, modern though sympathetic to character of house. The left hand (Bateman Optician) has a triple-arched front with 2 small box 2 windows and central half-glazed door. The right hand (Harold Hodgson) has 2 rectangular bays and central glazed door. Both framed with pilasters and entablature of different design.
