Description
This is a barn located 20 metres south of Northcote Farm House, dating from possibly the late 15th century to early 16th century at the west end, with a later 16th century range to the east. The barn is timber framed on a brick plinth and features weatherboard cladding and a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped, extending in a catslide over the rear aisle. It consists of five framed bays and has a hipped roof midstrey to the left of centre. The barn includes fixed casement windows and double doors at the rear. Inside, there is a curved strut roof on the right with arched wall bracing and passing braces to the end pentice. The main posts have curved braces, and there are jowled angle posts. To the left, there is a clasped purlin two bay range.
