Description

This is a barn located to the north-west of Church Farmhouse, dating from the mid-18th century. It is a timber-framed structure clad in weatherboarding, standing on a brick plinth, and features a half-hipped tiled roof. The barn consists of five bays and has a central midstrey that has been boarded over in the 20th century. There is an outshot to the south-east and a lean-to addition to the south. The frame includes a midrail and diagonal or curved tension braces, with some posts made from rough hewn timbers. The roof is a queenpost design, also supported by diagonal tension braces.
