Description

This barn, located to the south of Church Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, resting on brick sills, with a corrugated iron roof. The structure features five bays, including central cart doors, a door in the second bay from the north, and a pitching door in the fourth bay. The roof is half hipped. Inside, there are jowled posts with curved braces supporting the ties, raking struts to the collar principals that are diminished over single clasped purlins, and curved windbraces present only in the central bay.
