Description
Taylor's Farmhouse is a late 18th-century building that has been converted from two cottages into a single dwelling. An extension was added in the early 19th century to create the second cottage. The structure features rendered timber framing and cob, topped with a thatched roof. It is a single storey with an attic, comprising three bays, along with a single storey extension to the north. There are lean-to additions at both ends of the building.
The left cottage has two bays, is rendered, and includes a central door with timber paned casement windows. An outbuilding with a single door is located to the left. The right cottage is made of painted cob and brick, showcasing an exposed wall plate and a flush dormer that was added when the wall was heightened. A brick stack is positioned on the party wall. The thatch extends down over the lean-tos, and there are two flush dormers on the rear. A Sun Insurance fire plate is visible on the right cottage.
