Description
Lake Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th century. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, a rendered plinth, and a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped with a gablet on the left side. The building has two storeys and includes an end ridge stack on the right and a square corbelled rear stack to the left of the center. There are four framed bays, with two of them displaying tension bracing on the first floor. The windows are leaded casements, with four on the first floor and five below, including one to the right in a pentice roof projection. A 20th-century part-glazed door is located to the right of center within a gabled porch. Additionally, there is a wing at right angles to the rear, positioned left of center.
