Description

The Birch Tomb, located 1 yard south of the south aisle of the Church of St John the Baptist, is a chest tomb dating from 1773. It commemorates M(?) Birch and is constructed from stone, resting on a moulded plinth. The tomb features panelled sides and a flat inscribed lid. It is supported by recessed angle piers that have moulded bases and capitals.
