Description
Kingston Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with later alterations in the 17th century and the 20th century. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a gabled old tile roof. The building has a rendered ridge stack finished in brick and a stone lateral stack at the rear right. The farmhouse has a 3-unit cross-passage plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a five-window range.
The entrance includes a 20th-century door with a 20th-century porch, and there are 20th-century timber lintels over the 20th-century windows, except for a three-light leaded casement window to the right and a similar four-light casement window in the centre of the first floor. A roof dormer contains a 20th-century casement. There is a later outshut and a one-bay wing that flank a 17th-century stair-turret, which has a two-light leaded casement, all made from similar materials.
Inside, the stack backs onto the cross passage and features old beams, an open fireplace, and plank doors.
