Description
Broadgrove Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of local limestone rubble, with some parts rendered, and features a plain tile roof that is hipped to the left, along with rendered brick stacks. The building has a "T" plan and an asymmetrical facade, standing two storeys high with an attic and comprising four bays. The windows are two and three-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned windows, except for the left bay, which has plain chamfered mullions. There is a moulded string course above the heads of the ground floor windows. The door opening features an edge-roll moulded stone surround and a 19th-century plank door. The cross wing on the left side, which was once gabled, now has a catslide roof after the gable was demolished. Inside the ground floor of the wing, there is a broad fireplace with a four-centred lintel.
