Description
Alice Street Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse located in Cloford Common. The building features a rendered exterior with ashlar made from local limestone and has a slate roof. It has rendered end stacks, with the left stack projecting from the gable wall and including a turret for a bread oven. The farmhouse has a symmetrical facade in a "T" plan, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with three bays on each side of the central bay. The central bay includes a projecting gabled porch that features a three-light ovolo moulded stone mullion and transom windows. The porch is adorned with a decorated stone band and cornice under the gable, and it has a semi-circular arch door opening with a keystone set on moulded imposts. There is also a three-light mullion and transom window on the left return. A 20th-century gabled addition and catslide can be found at the rear of the farmhouse.
