Description
Brook House is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century and the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is made of Collyweston slate, with reused stone coped gables and two gable and one axial ridge ashlar stacks. The building has an L-plan and stands two storeys plus attics, with a four-bay front that includes a plinth. The entrance is an off-centre half-glazed door, with a single four-light window to the left and two four-light windows to the right. On the first floor, there are similar windows, and above the door, there is a two-light window in a patched area, likely where a two-storey porch once stood. All windows feature moulded stone surrounds, cornices, and ovolo moulded mullions.
