Description
This is an early 18th-century cottage located on the south side of Main Street in Baston. The exterior is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. It features a collyweston slate roof with raised stone coped gables, a single ridge stack, and a gable stack with a stone base. The cottage is a single storey with attics, and the three-bay front has an off-centre planked door. To the right of the door are two two-light casement windows, all set beneath flat stone arches. A single hipped dormer window is visible in the roof, featuring a two-light casement with rendered cheeks. A former service block, attached to the adjacent property at No. 40 Main Street (which is not listed), is also present.
