Description

This is a pair of cottages located on Church Street in Baston. They were originally built in the early 18th century and altered in the 19th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with ashlar quoins and dressings. They have a Collyweston slate roof with a single stone-coped gable, two gable brick stacks, and a single ridge stack. The cottages are a single storey with attics, and have a six-bay front. The front features two panelled doors flanked by single three-light windows, one of which is a rectangular bay window, all with timber lintels. The roof has two gabled and two hipped dormers, along with three two-light casements and a single three-light casement, each with slate cheeks.
