Description
No. 12 Church Street is a cottage from the early 18th century that has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a Collyweston slate roof with two red brick gable stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape and is a single storey plus attics. The front has three bays, with a central four-panel door flanked by single 20th-century top-hung lights. All openings are topped with ashlar lintels and keystones. The roof includes two gabled dormers, each with top-hung 20th-century lights and rendered cheeks. At the rear, there is a brick range with a contemporary gable stack and a raised brick coped gable.
