Description

There are two table tombs located by the south side of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Baston. These tombs date from 1788 and 1789 and are made of ashlar stone. Each tomb features a moulded base and top, with fluted pilasters on the sides that flank rectangular raised inscription panels. One tomb is dedicated to Thomas Norton, who died in 1788, and the other is for his mother, Frances Norton, who died in 1789.
