Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a house dating from around 1650. It has a roughcast exterior and a double Roman tile roof with coped verges and brick stacks at each end. The building is rectangular in shape with a symmetrical facade, featuring two storeys and three bays. The windows originally had ovolo moulded stone mullions, but the mullions have been removed and replaced with 19th-century casements in the original surrounds, except for the left window on the ground floor. The ground floor windows also have labels above them. There is a central door opening with a 19th-century six-panelled door and an open gabled porch supported by brick pilasters. To the left side, there is a single-storey outshut. The building is marked as Peartree House on the Ordnance Survey map.
