Description

Ranfurly is a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century, with an extension added in the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with more regular stonework in the extension. The cottages feature a gabled concrete tile roof, a stone ridge stack, and brick end stacks. The layout consists of an extended to three-unit plan, with one storey and an attic, and a four-window range. The cottages have timber lintels above 19th-century plank doors and three-light casement windows, along with four 20th-century dormers and a 20th-century brick rear range. Inside, No. 47 has a chamfered beam, while No. 46 has not been inspected but is likely to have interesting features as well.
