Description
Montague Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched slate roof, along with brick ridge and end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a four-window range. The entrance, located off-centre to the left, has a panelled and glazed door with a wooden lintel, and is flanked by 20th-century casement windows that have original wooden lintels. There is a similar window to the right of the entrance. On the first floor, there are four matching windows. An iron tie-bar is present on the right side of the building. The interior is reported to contain beams, inglenook fireplaces, stone flag floors, and panelled doors, although it has not been inspected.
