Description

Burma is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations from the 19th century and additions from the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply-pitched slate roof. The house has brick end stacks, with the one on the right having been renewed. It has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a two-window range. The central entrance, which is now blocked, originally had a wooden lintel. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light casements in wooden frames, each with chamfered wooden lintels and wrought-iron casement fasteners. The first floor has two similar windows. The building also has limestone quoins. The entrance on the left gable includes a 20th-century porch and a plank door. The interior has not been inspected. The house is included for its group value.
