Description
The South Lodge to Shelswell Park, which has been demolished, was an early 19th-century lodge built from limestone and roughcast. It featured a steeply pitched slate roof with rendered ridge stacks and was designed in the Gothic Revival style. The building had a T-plan layout and consisted of a single storey plus an attic. It included a one-window range and a gabled porch adorned with bargeboard and a finial. The entrance had a panelled door, and there were two-light pointed arched windows with hood moulds and label stops. The left gable featured an arch window with pointed arched lights. The interior was not inspected.
