House, now 2 dwellings. C16/early C17. Timber framing with colourwashed brick and plastered infill with some limestone rubble and brick; thatch roof with brick ridge stacks. 2-unit plan with end outshut. 2 storeys plus attics and one storey plus attics. 3 bays to right of 4-window front are higher, the central and right bays of Which are fully framed and include the entrance, below a single-light leaded casement, with 2-light casements to right. Bay to left of the entrance has first-floor framing and 3-light casements. Lower bay to extreme left has heavy framing with diagonal braces and may be the earliest sections it has an old plank door, a 3-light leaded casement and a small 3-light leaded dormer. Outshut against left gable is also framed, with a 2-light casement. Roof is half-hipped. Right gable wall is rubble and rear is largely rebuilt, retaining C18 leaded casements. Interior: central unit has stop-chamfered beams and joists, and a large open fireplace with an arched and chamfered bressumer; quarter-turn stair in right unit.
