Description
Willoughbys is a house dating from the 16th to early 17th century, featuring timber framing with plastered infill and a thatched roof topped with a brick ridge stack. It has a two-unit lobby-entry plan and consists of one storey plus an attic and two storeys plus attics. The two bays on the left side of the front are likely slightly older and display casement windows with two and three lights on the ground floor, a two-light casement on the first floor, and a high inset attic dormer. The remainder of the front includes a plank door on the left, with small windows above and to the right, along with a rectangular five-light bay window that has a richly-moulded plaster cornice and canopy, and a three-light dormer above it. The left gable wall features heavy framing and clasped purlins, while the right gable wall incorporates an earlier gable in its framing. The interior has not been inspected.
