Description
No. 6 The Green is a house that dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with extensions added in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber frame with brick infill and is colourwashed. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has both stone and brick stacks. The original layout consists of two units, which have been extended to four units. The house is two storeys high, and the middle two bays of the four-window front are constructed with light framing and long tension braces. The entrance is located in the extreme right bay, and all the window casements are from the 20th century. The roof has ridge stacks on either side of the earlier bays, with the right stack having an ashlar base. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
