Description

Wantills is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It features timber framing with brick infill and a thatched roof with brick gable stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The front of the house has two entrances and four two-light casement windows on the ground floor, along with four casements on the first floor. The right gable wall has been partly rebuilt in brick, but both gables retain their timber framing with clasped purlins and large brick chimney projections. The rear of the house displays some straight braces. The interior has not been inspected.
