Description
Larkrise and the cottage to the right are two houses that were originally three cottages, built in the mid-18th century with 20th-century alterations. They are constructed from squared, coursed ironstone and have thatched roofs, with brick ridge and end stacks. The cottage on the right features a 20th-century stone end stack.
Larkrise has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high with a two-window range. The entrance on the left has a renewed plank door and is flanked by renewed three- and four-light casements with renewed wood lintels. There is a blocked entrance on the right, and on the first floor, there are two renewed three-light casements with renewed lintels.
The cottage on the right has an entrance on the right with a 20th-century door, an original continuous lintel, and a renewed casement to the left. There is a renewed bow window with a stone slated roof on the left side. The attic features two renewed two-light wood casements, partly in thatch. A fire plaque is located above the door, and the interiors include beams.
